It's Official!

We are officially ready to adopt! Yahoo!!

All the necessary paperwork to complete our home study are signed and a couple agencies have our information, with a couple more to follow in the next weeks. I also mailed out some grant applications today and will do more this week.

We covet your prayers right now! Please be praying for our child, it's birth mother, favor with finances and agencies, and for the Lord to go before us and prepare each of our hearts.

We're beginning to get things ready in the house as well. Right now, that's mainly getting the girls' rooms ready to be combined. So far they are doing really well with packing up some of their things! I have a few surprises for them planned, like "new" bedding for their new 3-way bunk bed, and I'm hoping to find ways to make their room extra pretty (and functional!).

I was also wisely advised by a good friend to really focus on building great memories with them right now. Their life will change so much. . . but we have no idea when or exactly how! So, these last few weeks before school starts I plan to let the house go (as much as I can ;) ) and just spend time with my precious girls. Please pray blessings on our time together!

It's quite the journey the Lord has us on - all of us! Can't wait to see what comes next!
